Catching Up With the Working Partners® Crew

It is always good to be in the know about what is happening around you.  While we routinely share insight, news and information about various issues that impact a business operating (or interested in operating) drug-free, we thought you might be interested in what the Working Partners® crew has been up to.

  • New Full-Time Staff Member:  Join us in welcoming a new client care coordinator to our staff, Regina Bond.  Regina will be working with Scott to help our clients operate successful drug-free programs.  For those of you who might recognize the name, Regina is not new to the Working Partners® family.  Over the last five years, you may have attended a training she administered or seen her in some of our videos (Tips to a Taxless Drug-Free Program, or talking about our webinars or on-sites). As one client shared, “Regina is a tremendous asset for Working Partners®. She is as knowledgeable and down to earth as she is professional and beautiful.” We couldn’t agree more!  She has, and will continue to be, a wonderful trainer and we are excited to be able to work with her daily.
  • Celebrating the Milestones: This past month two members of our staff have had an extra special reason to celebrate.
    • Sue Harper, our administrative coordinator, welcomed another addition to her family.  Now this, Red Hat Society Member, Euchre playing, homeless feeding, family-oriented, wonderful co-worker has a new title: Great-Grandmother to her lovely great-grandson Noah.
    • Scott Camp, one of our client care specialists and program consultant, turned 50.  Getting to be a superhero for the day (we gave him a medal for the day and throw a superhero party in the office, Scott can now say he is half a century old, but no one here will let him say he’s “over the hill.”

  • Out & About: Working Partners® staff have been busy spreading the word around the state about the benefits of a drug-free workplace (DFWP) by speaking on topics like the business impact of marijuana legalization, offering a “second chance” to substance abusing employees and general DFWP best practices. We truly enjoy the opportunity to share our passion for helping businesses protect their bottom lines and the well being of their employees by operating drug-free. It has also been wonderful to talk with so many folks from around the state. Curious about where we’ve been? Here’s a brief list:
    • Ohio Safety Congress & Expo
    • Air Conditioning Contractors of American/Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Ohio Convention & Expo
    • Worker’s Compensation Forum
    • The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Business Consultants & Management
    • Union County Drug-Free Coalition
    • Frank Gates Statewide Seminars
    • Mental Health & Recovery Services Board of Allen, Auglaize and Hardin Counties
    • Ohio Prevention and Education Conference
    • Ohio Manufacturers’ Association

(If you know of an organization that would benefit from hearing about how substance abuse and the latest drug trends, like prescription drug abuse or marijuana legalization, impact the workplace let us know.)
