DEA OKs Marijuana PTSD Study

(Summer 2016) This spring the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) gave permission for research that will involve 76 veterans at clinics in Phoenix and Baltimore. The two sites will examine the efficacy of smoking marijuana to relieve post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Employing marijuana supplied by the federal government, the study will test various strains and strengths of marijuana. Research results should be released in 2019.
