New “Navigator” Helps Identify Best Treatment Providers for Alcohol Use Disorder
(Winter 2017) Individuals looking for top-notch help for treating alcohol use disorders now have access to the Alcohol Treatment Navigator, a new web-based tool made available by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA). This resource lists web links to directories of board-certified addiction physicians and psychiatrists, licensed therapists and accredited alcohol treatment facilities. Also among the information is a downloadable toolkit that streamlines the search for a quality treatment provider.
