All Ohio employers covered by the state’s workers’ compensation fund, in good standing with the BWC and current on their premium payments, can sign up to get reimbursed for their drug-free workplace program-related expenses.
The Substance Use Recovery and Workplace Safety Program (SURWSP) provides funding to help employers manage substance use issues, essentially enabling employers to operate your program for free. And not only is this program compatible with the Bureau’s Drug-Free Safety Program (DFSP), it is a great way to save money, support your efforts to reduce your risk and liability from substance misuse, and support your employees’ well-being and anyone who may be in recovery.
Check out the resources below to learn more about this program, and make sure to visit the BWC’s website. You don’t want to miss out on this opportunity.
